Presentation of FORCE REPAIR Work Package 2 by partners IDO and VICOM at WAB2024
Madrid, Spain – On September 26th and 27th Helena Herrada Manchón from Idonial and Camilo Cortés from Vicomtech presented the FORCE REPAIR project and advancements in the design and development of the new high-level bioprinting software at the Workshop on Additive Biofabrication (WAB2024). The event took place at Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies (IMDEA) Materials Institute.
WAB2024 (Workshop on Additive Biofabrication) is a gathering of innovators, researchers, and experts from around the world to explore the rapidly evolving field of additive biofabrication. It serves as a platform for networking, collaboration, and interdisciplinary discussions. The topics covered include biofabrication technologies, biomaterials, tissue engineering, medical and industrial applications, challenges, ethics, future directions, sustainability, and education.

In the FORCE REPAIR project, Vicomtech and Idonial, with their expertise in advanced manufacturing and 3D-impression techniques, play a critical role in developing advanced software for 3D bioprinting trajectories and wound dressing simulation.
Participating in WAB2024 was an excellent opportunity for Vicomtech and Idonial to present their current advances in Task 2.3 which focuses on the design and development of the new high-level bioprinting software.
It was also a fantastic opportunity to connect in person with experts in the field and identify potential partnerships, explore opportunities related to the project's key exploitable results, and share objectives and progress.
