FORCE REPAIR 5TH Progress Meeting in Barcelona
The FORCE REPAIR consortium gathered in Novara, Italy, from June 5th to 6th for the 5th Progress Meeting. The progress meeting was hosted by The Università del Piemonte Orientale “Amedeo Avogadro” – UPO at the Translational Research Center on Autoimmune and Allergic Diseases (CAAD), bringing together partners to review project developments and plan future steps. Lia Rimondini and Giuseppe Cappellano from UPO, together with project coordinator Damien Dupin from CIDETEC, officially opened the meeting with a warm welcome to all participants.
All project partners presented the latest advancements across work packages, followed by active discussions on current progress, upcoming research milestones, and planning for the months ahead. A highlight came from the JOANNEUM RESEARCH (JOAN) team, who shared significant progress within Work Package 4 In Vivo Biocompatibility and Validation. Their presentation revealed promising in vivo results, including a notable achievement of 50% wound closure just five days after treatment. The second day of the meeting shifted focus toward the regulatory and exploitation aspects of the project. Additionally, the outcomes of the EWMA 2024 focus group were presented. These results are expected to play a key role in aligning the FORCE REPAIR approach more closely with the practical needs of healthcare professionals, ensuring greater clinical relevance and impact.
Thank you to UPO for their warm hospitality and organization and to all the consortium members for active participation! The next progress meeting will be hosted by JOANNEUM RESEARCH (JOAN) in November in Graz, Austria.
